New Cumberland Kitchen Fire

The evening of Wednesday, January 7th. shortly before 1800 hrs. the WSBF responded as part of the first alarm assignment to the 600 block of Harding St. New Cumberland for an odor of smoke in a house. The home owner had just arrived home to discover the odor and immediately left the residence. First arriving units encountered a moderate smoke condition and investigated to find there had a been a smoldering fire in the kitchen. The WSBF assisted with overhaul of the kitchen and cleared the scene in 1 hour.
