Fire in a Wall
June 9th, 2010 by Commissioner
From Assistant Chief Mulhollan:
Tuesday morning the WSBF was dispatched for an electrical fire in wall. I arrived on scene and had smoke showing. Due to the building being a strip mall I immediately added the next due truck and York Rescue 69 for Rit. Crews pulled 1 line off the Squad after laying in. Interior crews then reported fire in the loft, which is a 15 ft void space. After that was reported I added 2 more engines for manpower. It was then discovered that there was no fire in the loft and I held the box to units on the scene. Fire was held to 2 rooms on the interior. Crews remained on scene awhile to deal with ventilating the large building.
