This morning at 0036 hrs., Co. 13 was dispatched to assist East Penn with an auto accident with double entrapment on the Bypass near Erford Rd. Engine 313 arrived first on the scene to find a vehicle head on in to a tree. Crews from Co 13, 21 and 18 stabilized the vehicle, began extrication on patient #1 (driver) and removed the person within a few minutes. Crews assisted with patient packaging and transporting patient #1 to Air-Medical while other crews spent over an hour extricating patient #2 (passenger). Crews assisted EMS with patient packaging of patient #2 and getting them to air-medical. Crews remained on scene until 0500hrs to provide lighting for the accident reconstruction team and assisted with debris removal.
