Another Job Keeps the Battalion Busy
Saturday night sometime around 1900 hrs., the first alarm was struck for a kitchen fire on the 500 block of Bridge St. in New Cumberland. First units arrived to fire showing in the rear of a 2 1/2 story duplex. 2nd Alarm was struck quickly due to exposure problems. The initial attack was close to what was done a few weeks ago in Camp Hill. 2 lines were stretched simultaneously off the Squad (a crew of 8), one line went through the front door to attack from the unburned inside of the house while the second line went to the rear of the house and knocked down what was showing on the outside. Crews limited exposure damage and were on the scene for a few hours for overhaul.
Thanks to New Kingstown Fire Company (33) and Highspire Fire Company (Dauphin 55) for transferring to Co. 13’s Quarters.
