Another Extrixcation Job in Lemoyne

December 15th, 2007 by Kevin Lubinsky

Saturday December 15th has been a busy day for the Bureau. As the crews patiently awaited the approaching winter weather, the day started early in the morning with the Squad responding to New Cumberland for an rollover MVA – vehicle into a structure with entrapment. As the crew at Station 2 awaited the return of the Squad, they were alerted for Engine 213 to respond to East Pennsboro Township for smoke in a building at 26 Stevens Dr. The Engine crew were first on scene, took a hydrant and assisted with forcible entry and thermal imaging in the search for the source of the smoke. Various other calls such as AFAs, minor accidents and an Air Wagon call filled the afternoon, but the biggest challenge of the day came from a tricky entrapment accident at 12th and Market on Saturday morning. Bureau crews arrived on scene to find a SUV on its side with a patient entrapped. The vehicle was stabilized and the team went to work to free the victim. The patient was extricated and turned over to EMS who transferred care to Life Lion waiting nearby in the parking lot of the West Shore Plaza.
