And then another crash…

June 4th, 2010 by Commissioner

Less then 2 hours after clearing the first crash on I-83, the Squad was dispatched to the same area for another one.  This one turned out to be just north of Exit 40. This crash involved 4 cars and 1 Tractor Trailer.  One of the vehicles, a minivan, had 1 patient heavily entrapped.  The Squad was the first apparatus on the scene.  The crew from the Squad extricated the patient with the help of additional manpower as they arrived.  The patient was flown by Life Lion to a local trauma center.  A second patient from a different vehicle was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Emergency apparatus began clearing the scene around 430pm, the road was finally reopened at 530pm.
