3 Alarms in Mechanicsburg Boro
Sunday morning around 330am the first alarm was struck for a building fire on W. Main Street in the Boro of Mechanicsburg. At the time there was already a townhouse fire in Hampden Township. Standby crews were enroute to cover Hampden and Silver Spring when this fire was dispatched. Within the next 30 minutes the 2nd and 3rd alarms would be requested. Air 13 responded to the scene as part of the second alarm assignment. Engine 3-13 transferred to Station 28 (Washies) as part of the 3rd alarm assignment. Crews worked on the scene throughout the morning and into the afternoon hours before finally clearing the scene.
Roughly 27 pieces of apparatus responded to the incident. 9 pieces of apparatus transferred to the area to cover Mechanicsburg Boro and the surrounding areas.
