Another Day at 3rd & Lowther

On Monday December 21 Co 13 was dispatched to the intersection of 3rd and Lowther St in Lemoyne non emergency for a debris removal. While enroute, units were advised of a patient and units then upgraded to class 2. Crews assisted EMS with patient care and controlled fluids. This is a very familiar spot as we are there almost on a weekly basis for MVA’s.

Sunday Afternoon Crash

On Sunday December 20 Co 13 was dispatched to the 500 Block of N. 2nd St in Wormleysburg for and MVA with injuries. Crews arrived on scene to find one vehicle into a parked car with 2 elderly patients. Crews assisted EMS with packaging and controlled fluids and hazards.

Busy Day for WSBF

Wednesday, December 9 was another busy multi call day for the WSBF. It started around 6 pm, when crews were alerted for an MVA with injuries on 83 North near the Lemoyne Exit. Crews arrived on scene to find multiple vehicles involved and minor injuries. While crews were returning to station they were alerted to an MVA with entrapment @ 16th and Brandt Ave in New Cumberland. Crews arrived on scene and cribbed the vehicle and extricated one patient with the rescue tools. Crews then returned to station for the companies weekly training. Just as training was finishing up the were alerted to Rt 581 West in the area of the York Split for an MVA with fire. Crews arrived and assisted Rescue 14 with extinguishment of a well involved vehicle fire. As a side note this was the second vehicle accident with a well involved fire on 581 in 24 hours.
