Over the past several years Christopher Munn and his business in Lemoyne have supported the WSBF very generously.  In return for his support the Executive Board decided to honor him.  In the photo below President Gary Pennick of The West Shore Bureau of Fire presented an Honorary Membership Plaque to Christopher Munn Monday evening at his business.

Install, Inspect, Protect

More than 3,000 people die in home fires each year in the United States; most of which are in homes without a working smoke alarm.
– United States Fire Administration (www.usfa.dhs.gov)

It is important for everyone to practice fire safety.  Protect yourselves and your families as well as the firefighters who work each day to save lives.  If everyone is able to get out of the house firefighters don’t have to risk their lives to enter a burning house to find you or others.  Smoke alarms are an early detection device that allows the occupants in the house to get out early before the fire becomes too intense.

Practice fire safety.  Take a good look at what you have in your home.  Are you using extension cords appropriately?  Are space heaters operating in a safe area?

If you or someone you know needs smoke detectors for their home, contact the West Shore Bureau of Fire Commissioners Office at 717-737-2924

The WSBF has smoke alarms for free to anyone that needs them.  Please take us up on this offer to help protect you and your family.
