The Squad’s crew went to the basement to discover a working room and contents. 20 minutes into the incident command 14 called for the second alarm. This brought in a second engine from the WSBF. Engine 3-13 staged with their manpower at 24th & Market and held their manpower. November 28th, 2008 by Commissioner

Thursday night after most had concluded their Thanksgiving activities the WSBF began what would turn out to be a long night.  At approximately 2115 hrs. the first alarm was struck for a basement next to the 3005 Market St. in Camp Hill Borough.  Engine 2-13 was out immediately on dispatch with a crew of 5.  The Squad followed a few moments later with a crew of 6.  Engine  2 arrived after Duty Chief 14, tagged a hydrant and layed into the scene, stretched 1 line to the basement with a split crew diverting to the first floor to do a primary search and check for extension.  The Squad arrived behind the Engine and assisted with operations in the basement.  A heavy smoke condition was encountered in the basement however there was no fire found.  After the smoke condition was removed from the structure a charred area was discovered in the basement.  Crews checked further for extension and used the Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) on Engine 2 to soak the charred area.  The WSBF assisted on the scene for a little more then 2 hours.
