Workin’ Thursday

Today the crew started out early.  Around 0630hrs a first alarm assignment on Spangler Rd in Camp Hill was struck.  Engine 2, the Squad, Camp Hill and other units responded for a report of fire in an air duct.  Crews were on the scene for over an hour cutting apart the air duct and gaining access to the fire and then completing overhaul. 

 A little more than an hour after clearing the first incident, the Air unit was dispatched as part of the second alarm assignment for a house fire in Hampden Township.  Engine 3 was dispatched to transfer to Co. 33’s quarters (New Kingstown).  While Co. 33 was on the scene of the 2 alarm house fire in Hampden Twp. the crew was on stand-by for several hours.  Engine 3 did not take in any additional alarms while they were covering.  Thanks for the invite!

Vehicle Fire

On Wednesday October 29th, around 1800hrs. the Engine and Squad were dispatched to the area of State St. and Elm St. for a vehicle fire.  The Squad and Engine 1 arrived first on the scene to find a fire in the dashboard of an SUV.  Engine 3 arrived shortly after the initial units.  A line was pulled off of Engine 1 crews extinguished the fire and checked for extension.  They wrapped things up in time to make a training exercise in Camp Hill at 1900hrs.

Kitchen Fire in Lower Allen

Wednesday evening at 2256hrs, the Squad was dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment for an electrical fire on Kings Arms Ct in Lower Allen Township.  The Squad arrived with Engine 112 with normal conditions from outside.  Upon entry to the structure, there was visible fire in the kitchen.  The fire was quickly knocked and control marked 6 minutes after arriving on the scene.  The source was a microwave and the fire extended into the cabinetry surrounding the microwave.  The Squad remained on scene for 40 minutes to assist with overhaul.

Camp Hill Crash

This morning the Squad was dispatched to assist Co. 14 (Camp Hill) with a crash at the intersection of 34th & Market Streets.  The Squad responded with a crew of 4 and assisted with hazard control and clean up.  Crew were on the scene for a little over 30 minutes.
