Community Service Detail

On Sunday, June 10, Engine 313 was at the American Legion Headquarters on Front St. in Wormleysburg for a clean-up detail. The crew helped washed down the building and surrounding grounds at the request of the American Legion.

Camp Hill MVA

Thursday June 7th the Squad was dispatched around 1130hrs to assist Co. 14 (Camp Hill) with an MVA w/ unknown injuries at the intersection of South 21st & Market Street.  Crews on the scene secured both vehicles and cleaned up debris while EMS handled patient care.

Vehicle Rescue Refresher

Wednesday night the WSBF freshened up on Vehicle Rescue Practices.  Members spent the evening cutting up a mini-van and getting hands on time with the Hydraulic Rescue Tools as well as other power tools.  Members took turns with the equipment while removing all the doors as well as the roof.

Crash on Front St.

Tuesday May 6th around 2120hrs the Squad(Beasley) and Engine 3(Lubinsky) were alerted to a crash with entrapment on Front St. @ Dukes Riverside in Wormleysburg. Chief 2-13 (Mullhollan) was first on the scene to find 2 vehicles involved, 1 of the vehicles had one patient entrapped with 24″ of intrusion to the driver side of the car. The driver to the second vehicle had fled the scene. The patient had to be accessed from the driver side since the vehicle came to rest against a parked car. The patient was forced to the passenger side of the vehicle during the accident. The crews folded down the driver side of the vehicle and then removed the roof. Extrication time was under 20 minutes.
