House Fire in Wormleysburg

March 2nd, 2009 by Commissioner

This morning just before 0700 hrs., the first alarm was struck for a bedroom fire on the first block of S. Second Street in Wormleysburg Borough.  Squad 13 arrived first, with fire showing.  Engine 2-13 arrived right behind the Squad.  Multiple handlines were stretched into the structure and exposure building.  The second alarm was requested shortly after arrival.  Apparatus responding had an extended response time due to the snow covered roads.  Units operated on the scene for roughly 3 hours.  The Fire Marshall was requested to investigate.  1 Patient was transported by ambulance to Hershey Medical Center for minor injuries.
