2 Alarm Fatal Fire in New Cumberland

This morning just before 4am the first alarm was alerted for a house fire in the 500 block of Fourth Street in New Cumberland. Squad 13 arrived behind Truck 10 and started the initial fire attack by “Wagon Piping” the fire.  Second-Alarm was struck within the first few minutes after arrival.  Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down crews entered to search for victims, extinguish the remaining fire and overhaul the building.  Crews found 1 victim in the fire building.  Cumberland County Coroner’s Office and the State Police Fire Marshall are investigating.
