Thank you for your interest in the West Shore Bureau of Fire. Membership is 100% volunteer.

Your first thought might be that you don’t feel you could be a firefighter. That’s OK! Members help out the WSBF in a variety of ways. Members can help with needs such as fund-raising, equipment maintenance, administration, and yes of course firefighters. Don’t let this short list fool you, there are always projects developing that add to the demands of the WSBF. We can always use your help.

The WSBF has a Junior Firefighter Program for members under the age of 18.  This program adheres to the requirements of the PA Child Labor Laws and allows for younger members to participate and learn certain aspects of the fire service.  Anyone 14 and older can join.  On the first Tuesday of every month a Junior Members meeting is scheduled.  Anyone interested in joining the WSBF as a junior member is welcome to attend this evening, meet other juniors and ask any questions about the program and membership.  The monthly meetings are held at Station 2 (Wormleysburg) at 7pm.
